Terms of Service

Acceptance

By installing or using Ping, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, uninstall the extension and stop using the service.

What Ping Provides

Ping is a client-side Chrome extension that connects to the Gmail API to provide:

• Personalized bulk email sending from your Gmail account
• Open tracking via embedded tracking pixels
• Link click tracking via URL redirect
• Reply detection via Gmail thread API
• Follow-up sequence automation
• Campaign analytics and deliverability scoring
• CSV and Google Sheets import for recipient data

All emails are sent directly from your Gmail account. Ping does not send emails from its own servers or infrastructure.

Google API Scopes

Ping requests access to the following Google API scopes. Each scope is used strictly for the purpose described:

• gmail.send: Required to send personalized emails through your Gmail account.
• gmail.readonly: Required to count sent emails for daily quota tracking and to detect replies to campaign emails by reading thread metadata.
• userinfo.email: Required to identify your account for user data isolation.
• drive.file: Required to import recipient lists from the specific Google Sheets you explicitly select via Google's file picker. Ping never sees other Drive files.

Ping's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your Account

• You must have a valid Google/Gmail account to use Ping.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You can revoke Ping's access at any time via Google Account permissions.
• Revoking access immediately stops all Ping functionality for your account.

Free and Paid Plans

Ping offers a free tier with limited features and a Pro subscription with additional capabilities. By subscribing to Pro:

• You agree to pay the listed fees (currently ₹749/month or ₹6,499/year, displayed at checkout).
• Auto-renewal: Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period via Razorpay's recurring payment mandate. The renewal charge is processed in INR; international cards are converted by your bank at the prevailing rate.
• Pre-debit notification: As required by Reserve Bank of India regulations, you will receive a notification approximately 24 hours before each renewal charge.
• Cancellation: You can cancel anytime from extension Settings → Subscription → Cancel. See our cancellation policy for details. After cancellation, you keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period.
• Refunds: See our refund policy. We do not pro-rate the unused portion of a billing period.
• Price changes: We may change pricing with at least 30 days notice. Existing subscribers are grandfathered into their original price for the current billing cycle.
• Payment processing: Handled by Razorpay (India). We never store your card number, CVV, or UPI credentials. Razorpay is responsible for PCI-DSS compliance and fraud detection.
• Failed payments: If a renewal payment fails, Razorpay retries automatically. After all retries fail, your subscription is halted and you receive an email with instructions to update your payment method.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of Ping shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. Where applicable, we also comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (US) for users in those jurisdictions.

Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Comply with all applicable anti-spam laws including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CASL.
• Only email recipients who have a legitimate reason to hear from you.
• Honor all unsubscribe requests immediately.
• Not use Ping for phishing, fraud, impersonation, or illegal activity.
• Not exceed Gmail's sending limits or attempt to bypass rate limiting.
• Not use Ping to send malware, viruses, or harmful attachments.
• Not resell, sublicense, or redistribute Ping without written permission.
• Respect recipient privacy and applicable data protection regulations.

Anti-Spam Enforcement

We actively monitor for abuse patterns. Accounts that exhibit spam-like behavior, including but not limited to high bounce rates, excessive complaints, or sending to purchased/scraped email lists, may have their access to Ping's tracking services suspended or terminated without prior notice. We cooperate with Google's built-in spam detection and abuse prevention systems.

Gmail Sending Limits

Gmail enforces a limit of approximately 500 emails per rolling 24-hour period for regular Gmail accounts (2,000 for Google Workspace). Ping tracks your usage and will pause campaigns when approaching these limits. Ping is not responsible for any account restrictions imposed by Google due to your sending activity.

Google Account Responsibility

You are solely responsible for maintaining your Google account in good standing. If Google suspends, restricts, or terminates your Gmail account as a result of email sending activity performed through Ping, Ping is not liable and cannot reinstate your Google account. We recommend following Gmail's sending guidelines to maintain your account health.

Tracking and Analytics

Ping embeds a small transparent image (tracking pixel) in emails you send. When a recipient's email client loads this image, an open event is recorded. Link tracking works by routing clicks through our server before redirecting to the original URL. These features can be disabled per campaign. Tracking accuracy is not guaranteed as some email clients block external images or pre-fetch links.

Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in Ping, including its code, design, features, documentation, and branding, are owned by Ping and its developers. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Ping for its intended purpose. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works based on Ping.

Data and Security

See our Privacy Policy for full details on data collection, storage, retention, and your rights. In summary: OAuth tokens never leave your browser, tracking data is stored in a database on an access-controlled server, all connections use HTTPS, and your data is isolated from other users.

Disclaimer

Ping is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee email delivery, inbox placement, tracking accuracy, or uninterrupted service. You use Ping at your own risk and are solely responsible for the content and recipients of your campaigns.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ping and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, business opportunities, or reputation, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or INR 5,000, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ping and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of Ping, your email campaigns, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights including anti-spam laws.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Ping shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, India.

Termination

You may stop using Ping at any time by uninstalling the extension and revoking Google access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Ping's tracking services for users who violate these terms, applicable laws, or engage in abusive sending practices. Upon termination, your right to use Ping ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including liability, indemnification, and intellectual property) will remain in effect.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated through the extension dashboard or this page. Continued use of Ping after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree with any changes, your remedy is to stop using Ping and uninstall the extension.
